The Issue of Premature Babies

Premature birth is a global problem. As in the other advanced countries of Europe, the frequency of premature births in the Czech Republic is around 7%, i.e. 7,000-8,000 infants are born prematurely in the county each year. The Czech Republic is a leader in the successful treatment of these newborns.
